We launched ASW with a walk and cycle around the Brusna countryside. We were delighted to have parents and a granny join us. Garda Martin Coyle from Ballaghaderreen kindly cycled with us and helping keep the children safe on the road.There were two different lenghs of walks – shorter for the younger children. We were very lucky to have plenty of sunshine for the first day of ASW.
After the walk the children had plenty of fruit and drinks before the embarked on a new sport for us here in Brusna, Tug of War. Tahnks to Aaron’s and Ava’s mum for bringing MrFreezes to all the children in the school.
Lisa Daly from Tug of War Ireland came and gave us a demonstration and lots of information about the sport. The children played lots of games and took turns being the referee. They highlight was when the teacher took on 6th class !!! see the video to see the result.
In the afternoon there was Tag Rugby , Parachute games and lots of DEAD- Drop Everything And Dance !!!!
