Cumann na Mbunscoil

Cumann na mBunscol is an Irish national organization run by teachers that promotes and organizes Gaelic games—football, hurling, camogie, rounders, and handball—within primary schools, serving as the largest sporting body in the Irish primary education sector. Founded in 1971, it fosters a culture of fun, participation, and skill development across all 32 counties.    Its primary goal is to encourage children to play Gaelic games in an enjoyable, safe, and competitive environment, making them the "game of choice" in schools. Here in Brusna we have a proud tradition of Gaelic Games. We are always delighted when coaches visit the school to teach children the skill.
